Posted: January 14, 2011 in Uncategorized

I received a small group / individual study book recently for review.  The name of the book is “Love – cultivating Spirit-given character” by Calvin Miller.  This book is one out of a series of nine books for group or individual study in the Fruit of the Spirit Study Guide Series.

They layout of the book allows itself to be used daily and at the end of the week on the seventh day a group discussion guide is provided.  Each day has a particular scripture passage and a textual couple paragraphs that go along with the daily reading.  At the end of the paragraphs are a few questions for personal reflection.

The seventh day is layed out with several questions for group discussion taking about forty-five minutes of time for the group.

Other books in this series include:

  • Joy
  • Peace
  • Patience
  • Kindness
  • Goodness
  • Faithfulness
  • Gentleness
  • Self-Control

Towards the back of the book there is a place for prayer requests/concerns or even personal prayer reflection.

The retail cost of this book is $9.99 and is comparable to other study guides for small groups or individual study.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze.com <http://BookSneeze.com> book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
