Book Review: Then Sings My Soul

Posted: November 8, 2010 in Uncategorized

Then Sings My Soul is a great book for the Musician in your life or anyone else that loves the old hymns too.

Every two pages in the book contains the Music on one page and a Biography/History of how the song/author came up with the song.

Each story that is added to the songs gave me a greater awareness of why they were created.

Even if you don’t sing the old hymns very often, this book is still a must have to keep that Old Time Religion alive in all of us.  Get this one.  You won’t be sorry that you did.

The index is laid out in several styles including themes such as Easter/Christmas/etc, and also by Alphabetical Title, as well as by Author.  This made it very easy to find favorites throughout the book.
