Compassion

I want to tell you all a little bit about something that has been close to my heart recently (in the last year), Compassion International.

A little over a year ago, a guy named Shaun Groves came to our local church.  While here he shared some of his music, and gave a sermon for three of our services.  He also shared with us a passion for helping children throughout the world through an orgnaization called Compassion International.

Compassion International allows people to sponsor children who are need in other countries.  The local church gets the money that you give and helps maintain a connection with the child and family by teaching them about Jesus, and also helps them with other needs they may have.

Check out Shaun’s site and Compassion site, and learn how just $32.00 a month can help.  It would be well worth it.  Sometime soon, I will put up a little bit about the child my wife and I sponsored, on this blog.
